ROCKFORD: The 2010 Illinois USSSA Hall Of Fame induction banquet was held on Saturday November 6th at the Radisson Hotel & Convention Center in Rockford with seven players, a manager, one complex and a team being honored with their induction. An audience of almost two hundred people gathered to honor these individuals, participate in a silent auction of softball and baseball related items and spend an evening of reminiscing with old friend and family members.

After the completion of dinner the evenings Co-Master of ceremonies Chuck Fisher from Louisville, KY and Jeff Brown from Chicago opened the evenings program by introducing the twenty-four Illinois USSSA Hall of Famer's that were attending this evenings induction ceremony individually.

Fisher said, " The ultimate honor that can be bestow upon a player, coach, manager, director, umpire, sponsor or anyone involved in the game of softball, in the state of Illinois is to be nominated, elected and than inducted into the USSSA Hall of Fame of Illinois."

Brown said, "One of the things that makes the hall of fame so special is that we have so many former inducted to the hall of with with us tonight". He went on to read the names of those present who were present by the year in which they were inducted.

As each inductee completed their remarks to the evenings crowd Illinois USSSA Executive State Director Brenda Paulson would say a few words about each inductee and present them with a crystal Hall of Fame statue, their Hall of Fame ring and a certificate commemorating their induction. The certificate read, 'United States Slo-Pitch Softball Association Illinois Hall of Fame (players name & category that they are being inducted in), upon nomination and election of the Illinois Hall of Fame election committee of the Illinois USSSA you are here by inducted as a member of the Illinois United States Slow-Pitch Softball Association Hall of Fame the 6th day of November, 2010.
