Bourbonnais: The 4th Annual Illinois NSA / BPA Hall of Fame Induction Banquet was held at the Holiday Inn Express in Bourbonnais on December 4, 2010. Six individuals and one team were honored by the audience of more than one hundred people in attendance.

The evening’s festivities started after a buffet style dinner with Bob Kerness serving as the evening’s Master of Ceremonies and Ritchie Richardson serving as the giving the guest speaker. Kerness kept the evening moving along by emphasizing the highlights from each individuals biography before introducing this year’s inductees.

In NSA / BPA State Director Gerry Gund’s opening remarks to welcome those attending he spoke of the Illinois NSA philosophy by saying, "These people are customers. They should be treated as such. They have choices. They can playing your tournament. They can play in your association, or they can go somewhere else. I am happy to look around here and see a lot of people who are customer friendly, and do a great job in answering questions and put on a great show for our customers."

Gund said a few words about each inductee and then presented them with their Illinois NSA Hall of Fame Trophy. The inscription on each trophy read, "ILLINOIS NSA/BPA HALL OF FAME, In recognition of your outstanding service and dedication to NSA/BPA MEMBER (individuals or team name), Inducted December 4, 2010."

The evenings festivities closed with Kerness thanking the individual sponsors of the Illinois NSA Hall of Fame. Kerness went on to recognize each of the past Illinois NSA Hall of Fame inductees that were present at this years induction banquet.

Kerness than brought Ray Johnson up to the podium . Johnson was inducted into the Illinois NSA Hall of Fame in 2008 but due to poor health he was unable to attend. Johnson health is now fine and he took the time to thank the Illinois NSA and his wife and daughters for pinch hitting for him in 2008.

Gund thank everyone for their participation in the special evening and closed by saying. "Have fun."
