NEW ALBANY, IN: Players, Inc./Easton traveled to New Albany, IN and took home first place in the USSSA 'C' NIT on May 14th & 15th. An all day rain on Saturday pushed the tournament back to Sunday. Scott Stiff of Players, Inc./Easton was named as 'Most Valuable Player' in this tournament leading his team to the championship.
This tournament featured fourteen team comprising seven Ohio ball clubs, four Kentucky teams, two Indian squads and Players, Inc./Easton from Chicago.
Players, Inc./Easton opened play in their first round

Players, Inc./Easton had a 'gut check and came back smoking in the extra game leaving no doubt as to who was going to win this game as they run rule Steve's Drywall/Jako 17-7 in five innings of play to win the berth to play at the World Tournament. Scott Stiff and Brad Jorgenson were the hitting stars in this game for the Players, Inc./Easton ball club as pitcher Pete Digioia defense and ability to throw strikes put his team in position to win.
