D In Aurora
Four Teams Participate At Turner
Club On May 21st
AURORA: Primetime from Joliet
was a perfect 3-0 to capture the four team ISA Men's Class D World
Tournament Qualifier played at the Turner Club field in Aurora on
May 21st. The champions earned a paid state berth to participate
at the ISA Men's Class D State tournament to be held in Urbana in
August plus an unpaid ISA World Tournament Berth to Lexington, SC
on August 26th - 28th. Tournament runner up Classic Construction/Young
Guns (2-2) from Channahon earned a unpaid state and a unpaid World
Tournament berth for their efforts as did third place Aero Softball
(1-2) from Sandwich and fourth place Yellow Jackets/Katnip (0-2)
Primetime opened play with a first contest against the Yellow Jackets/Katnip
squad and promptly posted a big 13-2 win up onto the bracket board.
In their second game they met and defeated Classic Construction/Young
Guns in a close game 6-5 to win the winner's bracket and now they
needed to sit back and wait as the loser's bracket was played out
before they would know which team they would be playing in the championship
A rematch with Classic Construction/Young Guns was in store for
Primetime in the title contest and the Joliet based ball club came
to play as they won by a final score of 17-10 to claim their berths
and the tournament title.

achieve their success in winning this tournament.
Classic Construction/Young Guns made it to the championship contest
by opening play against Aero Softball as they posted a win onto
the bracket board by the final score of 7-4.
In their second contest Classic Construction/Young Guns lost a one
run heartbreaker to Primetime 6-5 to fall into the loser's bracket
needing to win a game to get back into the finals against Primetime.
Classic Construction/Young Guns did what they needed to do by defeating
Aero Softball for the second time this day by the final score of
18-6 to earn a second shot at both Primetime and the tournament
title that they came to play for.
The championship game went to Primetime over Classic Construction/Young
Guns 17-10 as the Channahon ball club was forced to accept second
place from this tournament.
Classic Construction/Young Guns did not provide Illinois Softball

how they were able to finish in second place at this tournament.
